- Fire/Kairos/Intuition (P): the generative, transformative face — sensing what could be, initiating, transforming the situation
- Water/Pathos/Feeling (I): the relational, evaluative face — the current of connection, the discernment of value, the felt quality of relationship
- Air/Logos/Thinking (U): the structural, analytical face — articulated framework, logical argument, systematic understanding

A healthy tetrahedral system operates from all four faces in mutual determination. Each face is available; each checks and is checked by the others; the interior — the volume the four faces enclose — is navigable.

The Ethos ground of being-a-human-species, without Kairos transformation (the possibility that this moment requires stepping outside species-level categories), without Logos precision (which can reveal where species-level categories fail), without Pathos connection (which can feel when the human-category framework is missing the relational reality of what's present).
Each Idol is one face of the tetrahedron operating without the other three. Bacon was diagnosing the tetrahedron's failure modes from the inside, four centuries before the algebra was available to name what he was seeing.

The Theatre fracture is the hardest to detect from inside logoic plane-lock: the frameworks look like reason operating at its most sophisticated. What's missing — the Ethos grounding that would require the framework to maintain contact with material reality even when that reality is inconvenient — is invisible to logos-only inspection. Logos can check internal consistency. It cannot, by itself, check correspondence to the material ledger that Ethos tracks.
When the logos face claims to constitute the whole tetrahedron and dismisses the other three faces as "subjective," those faces don't disappear — they operate in the absence of structural integration, each in its pathological form.
The Cave pathology (Pathos without Logos) takes the form of ideological bubbles: communities organized around internally coherent emotional certainties that are incompatible with each other and mutually opaque. The emotional coherence is real. The certainty is real. What's missing is the logos structure that would allow the emotional certainties to be examined or updated.
The specific fracture: mirror-image ideological formations that each experience themselves as obviously correct and obviously under siege by the other. Both are operating from Pathos-without-Logos: emotionally coherent within the group, structurally incompatible across groups.
When the logos face claims exclusive access to valid knowledge, the categories it uses are necessarily human categories — the cognitive and perceptual structures available to the human nervous system.
The specific fracture appears when phenomena operate outside human categories and the logos-only framework cannot recognize the category mismatch. The century-long "problem of Quantum Gravity" is the apex instance: physicists attempting to force the coordinate system of the compiled macroscopic Ledger past the Tangent Crossing into the uncompiled quantum buffer. The infinities returned are the algebra's honest report of an inappropriate coordinate system, but the Tribe Idol reads them as a defect to be repaired. Ecological systems that operate on timescales outside human intuitive experience face the same error.
The Kairos face would recognize the transformative Tangent Crossing when the human-category framework needs to be set aside. Without Kairos availability, the logos framework continues to apply its categories past the point where they are useful, generating the appearance of understanding while missing what the phenomenon actually is.
Logoic plane-lock is not a moral failure. It is a structural condition. The logos face is genuinely powerful: it can build formal systems, derive logical consequences, formalize and transmit knowledge, check internal consistency, and generate technology. These are real and extraordinary capacities.
The constitutive incompleteness is structural: the logos face is a K3 boundary. Operating without the other three, it cannot access the K4 interior of the tetrahedron. The interior requires all four faces. This means:

Other parts of the framework do not 'intinsically recognize' this as an attitude and note the absence of the elements. That's to be expected. The author hold it 'a type of paradox better left unmolested'.
Still, the corpus defined Compassion in this manner and, while difficult to see from within the structure: 'committed I & R', comes through the author's blanket, and is what gives the work its 'U' & 'P' expression.
The work is a seed. It is also trauma-care. This is only sensible.
