I've been building Cadence, an open-source analytics layer for Plane that helps teams understand and improve delivery performance.

Why I built it

Plane is excellent for planning and tracking work, but I wanted deeper visibility into how work actually flows through a team.

Cadence connects to Plane and provides delivery insights such as:

• Cycle time analytics (P50/P85)
• Lead time trends
• Bottleneck detection
• WIP monitoring
• Team health indicators
• Delivery forecasting using Monte Carlo simulation
• At-risk issue detection

Technical details

• Open source (AGPL-3.0)
• Supports Plane Cloud and self-hosted instances
• OAuth 2.0 PKCE and API key authentication
• Read-only access to workspace data
