First of all, congratulations on the project! I really like the idea behind Nostr Secrets. A decentralized password manager built on Nostr is a very exciting concept, and I'm looking forward to seeing how the project evolves. I know it is still in its early stages, so I'd just like to share some feedback from my testing.
I am a screen reader user, and I noticed a few accessibility issues. At the moment, the interface is exposed as a web page, and some buttons are not properly labeled. Accessibility is especially important because many popular Nostr clients already provide a very good experience for screen reader users. Improving accessibility from the beginning could make the app much easier to use and help more people adopt it.
If the app continues using a WebView, improving the accessibility tree, focus handling, and screen reader support would already make a significant difference. If a native UI is ever considered in the future, it could provide an even better accessibility experience.
I also noticed the behavior of the local PIN lock. I completely understand the need to request the PIN to decrypt and unlock the encrypted vault. However, the app asks for the PIN again after about 30–40 seconds, even while I am actively using it, such as browsing the settings. Perhaps this behavior could be reviewed so that the PIN is requested again only after the app is locked, sent to the background, or after a configurable period of inactivity.
As a future feature, I think it would be great to support importing passwords, especially from CSV files exported by password managers such as Google Password Manager. Since CSV is a simple and widely supported format, it would make migration much easier for new users. Importing vaults from other password managers in the future would also be a valuable addition.
Support for external Nostr signers would also be a nice feature whenever it fits the project's roadmap.
At the moment I use Proton Pass as my primary password manager, but I see a lot of potential in Nostr Secrets. I've been hoping for a truly decentralized password manager for a long time, and I believe this project could become one.
