📊 Project Overview

The project is focused on the analysis of Infant and Neonatal Mortality, using raw data collected from different Primary Healthcare Centers, which was received from the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Karnataka, Udupi. The main goal of the project was to create an interactive Excel Dashboard to track critical health indicators.

The interactive dashboard helps to track the following:

1. Preventable Deaths
2. High-risk pregnancy patterns
3. Major medical reasons for mortality
4. Critical intervention areas to reduce mortality rates

🎯 Objectives

1. Monitor and analyze infant and neonatal deaths covering all area of Udupi District and separately for each District/Sub District.
2. Preventable vs. non-preventable Infant and neonatal deaths.
3. High-risk conditions for mothers and neonates.
4. Helping healthcare authorities to prevent infant and neonatal deaths.

🚀 How to Use

1. Download and open the Excel dashboard in Microsoft Excel
2. Use interactive slicers and filters to explore key health indicators
3. Scroll down to access additional analysis sections and detailed reports
4. Navigate across sheets to analyze Taluk-wise and PHC-level data, with dynamic updates based on selections
5. Use the macro-enabled Taluk selector (top-right corner) to quickly switch between different Taluks and view corresponding reports

📈 Key Insights

1. A significant proportion of deaths were non-preventable, highlighting clinical severity
2. Low Birth Weight (LBW) and prematurity are major contributors
3. Higher mortality observed in high-risk pregnancies
4. Neonatal deaths exceed infant deaths, indicating early-life vulnerability
5. Maternal conditions such as anaemia and hypertensive disorders show strong association
